A Certified Gottman Couples Therapist, and member of the global Gottman Referral Network, Tammy Coder Mikinski holds a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas and has advanced training in Couples Therapy, Child-centered Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Integrative Mental Health, and is EMDR-trained.

With an inclusive and collaborative approach, Dr. Mikinski offers extensive counseling experience for diverse Individuals, Couples, and Families facing a wide range of common issues. Licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, and available to provide tele-psychology services in PsyPact states, Dr. Mikinski adapts her approach to best meet each Client’s unique needs.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mikinski has served as a therapist for college students (offering expertise in evaluating and treating both test and performance anxiety), she has been an instructor and mentor for Master’s and Doctoral students in Counseling and Psychology (in 2022, Dr. Mikinski was awarded the Bob and Kathie Taylor Award for Excellence in Teaching from the University of Kansas), and she has provided psychological evaluations for Ministerial candidates.
